Just a quick update on the job front. Found the district nurses office eventually –  after getting lost through the stupid sat nav, anyway they were really nice and we had a good chat. The job is similar to the UK, don’t have patients attending treatment room(don’t have one), do a lot of medications, which is going to patients houses and giving them their tablets, not sure about that one! They offered me a position on the casual bank as that’s what I want, so need to complete the forms etc now.

Also got a phone call from a practice manager, she had been passed my details by the lady I met the other night. Apparently I am exactly what they are looking for, as practice nurses do a lot of dressings and all the other things our treatment room nurses do. There is lots of scope to develop the role and extra qualifications also, so I have arranged to go and see her on Thursday for a chat. There are 4 other practice nurses there also, so I may do a bit of each to see what its like!

How gutted is Steve by the way, comes over to Melbourne just as the three best Melbourne storm players and go and join Wigan……..
